Cheesy Burger Plate with Veggies

๐ˆ๐ง๐ ๐ซ๐ž๐๐ข๐ž๐ง๐ญ๐ฌ:

For the Burger Patty:
1/4 to 1/3 lb ground beef (85โ€“90% lean)
Salt & black pepper to taste
1 slice provolone or Swiss cheese
Toppings:
1/4 cup mushrooms, sliced
1 tbsp sliced jalapeรฑos (fresh or pickled)
1 tsp olive oil or butter (for sautรฉing)
Vegetables:
8โ€“10 spears of asparagus, trimmed
1 small tomato, sliced
Optional: green beans or any other veggie you prefer
Salt & pepper, to taste

Cook the Burger:
Form the ground beef into a patty and season with salt and pepper.
Grill or pan-sear over medium-high heat for 4โ€“5 minutes per side (depending on thickness).
In the last minute of cooking, top with cheese and cover to melt.
Sautรฉ the Toppings:
In a small skillet, heat olive oil or butter over medium heat.
Add mushrooms and cook until browned and tender (about 4โ€“5 minutes).
Add jalapeรฑos and cook for another 1โ€“2 minutes. Set aside.
Steam or Roast the Veggies:
Steam asparagus until just tender (about 4โ€“5 minutes) or roast at 400ยฐF (200ยฐC) with a bit of olive oil for 10โ€“12 minutes.
Season lightly with salt and pepper.
Assemble the Plate:
Place cheesy burger on the plate, top with sautรฉed mushrooms and jalapeรฑos.
Add steamed asparagus, tomato slices, and optional green beans or other sides.

Serve & Enjoy:

A squeeze of lemon over the asparagus or a dollop of mustard on the burger works great for extra flavor without calories.
