Cheesy Burger Plate with Veggies

For the Burger Patty:
1/4 to 1/3 lb ground beef (85β90% lean)
Salt & black pepper to taste
1 slice provolone or Swiss cheese
Toppings:
1/4 cup mushrooms, sliced
1 tbsp sliced jalapeΓ±os (fresh or pickled)
1 tsp olive oil or butter (for sautΓ©ing)
Vegetables:
8β10 spears of asparagus, trimmed
1 small tomato, sliced
Optional: green beans or any other veggie you prefer
Salt & pepper, to taste

Cook the Burger:
Form the ground beef into a patty and season with salt and pepper.
Grill or pan-sear over medium-high heat for 4β5 minutes per side (depending on thickness).
In the last minute of cooking, top with cheese and cover to melt.
SautΓ© the Toppings:
In a small skillet, heat olive oil or butter over medium heat.
Add mushrooms and cook until browned and tender (about 4β5 minutes).
Add jalapeΓ±os and cook for another 1β2 minutes. Set aside.
Steam or Roast the Veggies:
Steam asparagus until just tender (about 4β5 minutes) or roast at 400Β°F (200Β°C) with a bit of olive oil for 10β12 minutes.
Season lightly with salt and pepper.
Assemble the Plate:
Place cheesy burger on the plate, top with sautΓ©ed mushrooms and jalapeΓ±os.
Add steamed asparagus, tomato slices, and optional green beans or other sides.
Serve & Enjoy:
A squeeze of lemon over the asparagus or a dollop of mustard on the burger works great for extra flavor without calories.
