Deliciously Crunchy Apple Fries with a Sweet Cinnamon Twist

Ingredients:
4 medium-sized apples (Fuji or Honeycrisp work well)
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 cup breadcrumbs (panko for extra crunch)
1 tablespoon sugar (optional, for sweetness)
Cooking spray or a light drizzle of vegetable oil
Directions:
Begin by preheating your air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
While the air fryer is heating, wash and core the apples, then cut them into thin wedges or fries.
In a bowl, combine the flour, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt. Toss the apple wedges in this mixture until they are evenly coated.
In a separate bowl, combine the breadcrumbs and sugar (if using).
Dredge each apple wedge in the breadcrumb mixture, pressing gently to help the crumbs adhere.
Lightly spray the air fryer basket with cooking spray or brush with a slight drizzle of vegetable oil to prevent sticking.
Arrange the coated apple fries in a single layer in the air fryer basket, ensuring they don’t overlap for even cooking.
Air fry for 10-15 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through, until they are golden brown and crispy.
Once done, remove from the air fryer and let them cool slightly before serving.
