Ingredients:
- 1 pound ground meat (beef, chicken, or pork)
- 1 cup chopped vegetables (cabbage, carrots, green onions)
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon ginger, minced
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce (or coconut aminos for paleo/keto)
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- 1 head of cabbage (for wrapping)
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Additional sesame oil for frying
Directions:
1. In a large bowl, combine the ground meat, chopped vegetables, garlic, ginger, soy sauce, sesame oil, salt, and pepper. Mix until everything is well blended—this is where the magic starts!
2. Bring a pot of water to boil. Carefully peel off the leaves from the cabbage head and blanch them in the boiling water for about 1-2 minutes until they’re soft and pliable.
3. Scoop a spoonful of the meaty filling into the center of each cabbage leaf. Fold the sides over, then roll it up tightly to secure all that deliciousness inside.
4. Heat some additional sesame oil in a frying pan over medium heat. Once hot, place the pot stickers seam-side down and let them cook for about 3-4 minutes until the bottoms are golden and crispy.
5. Splash a bit of water into the pan—this will create steam. Cover the pan and let them steam for another 2-3 minutes to ensure everything is cooked through.
